The room was beautiful, full of historic details, with amazing lake views, a full bathtub, and a walk-in shower. The front desk upgraded us to a lake-view room when we arrived. Every day there were chocolates and little cakes, and housekeeping turned down the room in the evening without us ever running into them. The spa was included in our room rate: two cedar saunas at different temperatures, four cool-off showers, two relaxation areas overlooking the lake, and a gym. Massages could be booked and paid for separately. The bar was fun and welcoming, especially bartender Carlos, and served great food and drinks. Dinner at Brasserie Vico on site was amazing. Breakfast was phenomenal too, with local breads and cheeses, fruit, honey from a whole honeycomb slat, meats, cereals, juices, eggs, and anything else you could want. Staff made everything easy and welcoming. They carried our bags to the room, suggested local restaurants and sights with the expected weather in mind, made reservations, and made us feel comfortable. The service, location, beauty, and overall experience were incomparable. It lived up to the five-star rating, and I highly recommend staying here.

The suite was incredibly comfortable, with a gorgeous view of Lake Lucerne. We were given snacks and treats in the room each day, and the buffet breakfast had everything. The staff were lovely, and the concierge showed us around the hotel and to our room at check-in. We stayed for three nights in January at Hotel Schweizerhof. It’s an easy walk from the train station, and we’d definitely stay again.

We went to a birthday party at Schweizerhof, and the whole experience was fantastic. The food was top-notch, and they served 100 people in minutes while keeping it hot. Service was attentive throughout. Staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived until we left. It’s a true five-star hotel with a great soul that comes through in the guest experience. Thank you!

We booked our stay through Amex Platinum. Our request for an earlier room wasn’t granted, though the Christmas holiday period is busy. The hotel gave us complimentary drink cards, and we had a wonderful stay. I like how this family-owned hotel has kept its old charm while adding modern touches to the rooms and bathrooms. I highly recommend it.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful, and the location was fantastic after our Viking river cruise. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was kind, and the concierge desk helped us with a bag we’d forgotten. They really went above and beyond. You won’t regret staying here.
