The views were lovely, and there’s a nice rocky beach beside the hotel, plus free parking. The staff were friendly and helpful when they were around. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here outside winter, since at least they had heating then. We arrived for 3 pm check-in, but despite booking a month earlier, the room wasn’t ready for two hours. They said Mondays don’t usually bring many check-ins. The listing on booking.com promised A/C and WiFi, but our room had no A/C, and I couldn’t find any WiFi information after finally checking in. We visited in June and it was hot. Opening the window let in hordes of flies because there were no screens, and they kept us and the kids awake all night. In the morning, we had to wait again to check out at 8 because no one was there. An employee eventually arrived, so I could pay and leave. They need to check that the check-in and check-out times and the amenities listed on booking.com are accurate.

The outdoor seating comes with a spectacular lake and mountain view, and the menu was reasonably priced. There’s a good range of choices for different tastes, including local fish.

The local fish and salad buffet were especially delicious, but the buffet is only available on weekends. They’re open during the week too, though the menu selection is quite limited then and there’s no buffet. It’s a cosy, family-run spot on the lake shore, with a magnificent mountain view.

There’s parking, and the Wintergarten is in a lovely spot right on the water. The service was quick and the staff were very nice.
