For the price, it was definitely worth staying, and I'll come again. The guesthouse is in a great spot for visiting Lugano, especially if you need to get to USI. Our room was spacious and nice, and clean, though some furniture and parts of the bathroom had minor damage. The shower door leaked a little, so its seal may need replacing. As others have mentioned, the rooms aren't sound insulated at all.

There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, and the room has minimal furnishings that weren't very comfortable. Only three electrical outlets. The bathroom looked recently remodeled. Getting the main door access code was very difficult, and the room key was hinky.

If you're very, very poor and can't afford decent accommodation, this place may be for you. Otherwise, avoid it.

I was there for a workshop at USI, so the location was perfect. The room was fine and the service was good enough. One issue: the shower drain smelled really bad when it was dry.

Getting in went smoothly, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and tidy everything was. It's about a 20-minute walk from both the train station and the bus station.
