Women, avoid this hostel. I stayed in a female dorm, and in the middle of the night a man sitting on my bed woke me by molesting my feet. Two other women in the room later told me he'd done the same to them. The dorm door and the door that led directly outside were both unlocked. That's most likely how this random man got in so easily. He seemed comfortable doing it. I would guess he's a local who knows which dorms are for women and that the doors opening from the street into the dorms are usually left unlocked. This is a serious safety issue, not a matter of comfort. Guests, especially women, shouldn't have to fear being assaulted while asleep in a hostel bed. I strongly urge management to fix security immediately. Until then, I can't recommend this hostel to anyone.

The best part was the staff. They were so friendly, patient, and helpful. Our car got stuck on the staircases and couldn't move, and one staff member helped us get it out in heavy rain. We went back to thank him just 30 seconds later, but couldn't find him. We really appreciate his kind help! The garden is gorgeous, breakfast was very good, and the rooms were reasonably clean.

The location looks easy to get around from on Google Maps, but it's up on a hill, so reaching the city center isn't easy. There should be more toilets and showers. I stayed in a room with 16 people, the largest number I've shared with in a hostel. Overall, it was so-so.

They told us they would take our group of 5 for a month, then suddenly said we couldn't stay, just 2 hours before we were due to arrive. We had no backup plan, and I'm really disappointed. I don't understand how a hostel can be so badly organized. Wouldn't recommend it.

The location was a little hard to find, but we got there in the end. It's a great spot, just minutes from the train station and city center. Parking is free, the staff are friendly, and there isn't a lift. We booked because this was the only place left. It was a bit pricey, though that's expected in Switzerland.
