Hirschen Hotel Restaurant Bar

The room was warm and comfortable, and the shower worked really well. We also enjoyed the restaurant and breakfast. There’s free outdoor parking, and a nearby bus goes to the Pizol Bad Ragaz ski resort. The hotel is close to the train station, though we didn’t hear the trains at all.

The staff were kind and helpful, and our room was pleasant, though on the small side. We ate at what we found to be the town’s only affordable restaurant, and the food was good, if saltier than we’re used to. The hotel seems to be more or less the only one in town. There’s a bar connected to the building where smoking indoors is still allowed in Switzerland. That was a downside for me, since the smell reached other parts of the building too.

Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the small room had everything I needed. The hotel is right beside the train station, which made the location especially convenient.

We woke early to peaceful surroundings and fresh air. The wooden furniture was a nice touch, and the stay felt restful.
