The breakfast was a real highlight, generous and fantastic, served in a very cozy room. The owner was wonderfully kind and always ready to make guests feel comfortable. Inside, everything was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms with showers, and you can get around the floors by lift or broad stairs. This is a really good Gasthaus, easy to find on the main road, with its own private parking. There’s a handy bus stop right outside, with buses every 10-15 minutes taking about 18 minutes to reach central Luzern. The owner gave us a free tourist pass for the bus.

The Robert family made us feel so welcome, with thoughtful, enthusiastic help throughout our stay. Mr. Robert even sent information about the Luzerne transport card in advance, which made getting around easy. The bus stop right by the hotel was convenient, and there were beautiful views from the room windows. Our room was spacious and airy, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay at Gasthaus zum Kreuz, with warm hospitality and great amenities.

We were there in July, and our family room felt more like an apartment. It was the most spacious room we had in all the hotels we stayed at in Switzerland, and it was clean too. Breakfast was fresh and homemade, and the host was really attentive. Loved the customer service and the whole atmosphere. This place is amazing!

Robert made sure we had a lovely stay and went out of his way to help. The service was the best I experienced anywhere in Switzerland, and breakfast was incredible. Thanks, Robert. I’ll be back.

The welcome note waiting at check-in was a thoughtful detail, and our room was spotless with the most comfortable bed we came across during our time in Switzerland. The included breakfast was a nice surprise too. Our host greeted us by name and served a delicious range of options. We stayed in several “4-star” hotels on this trip, but this one was more comfortable and welcoming than those. We only wish we’d stayed longer. Gasthaus zum Kreuz was a wonderful experience, and we’d highly recommend it. Thanks again!
