We booked on the same day after deciding on the spur of the moment to spend a night in Luzern. The hotel is just outside the city, and the staff were friendly and accommodating the whole time. The rooms matched the website photos and seemed to have been renovated fairly recently. The bed was comfortable, and the hot water and pressure were good. I’d forgotten that breakfast was included and hadn’t put out the do not disturb sign, so someone gave our door a gentle knock at 9:45 to check whether we wanted breakfast. We hurried down to the European-style breakfast bar, which was quite nice, and they extended the service until we’d finished, even though it usually ends at 10. There’s also a small bar with local wines, beers, and spirits, open until 10 PM. Gluten-free bread is available at breakfast, but you need to mention it when booking or checking in.

The rooms were clean and roomy, and the facilities and staff were great. Husiyn at Reception was especially nice, helpful, and awesome. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

We got free bus vouchers for the trip to Lucerne and back, which made getting around really easy. The staff at hotel Balm were brilliant, and the place was very clean. We upgraded to a larger room with a balcony and an amazing view. The breakfast was beautiful too. We definitely recommend staying here.

Everyone made the place feel like a family, from the restaurant staff to reception. They were so warm, friendly, and kind. We got a map and tips for seeing the city, and free bus tickets for the stop right outside the hotel, which takes you to the center. We stayed for two nights with breakfast and already agree we need to come back. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the view was beautiful. All our best wishes to the team.
