Grütli Inn

My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 days in a tiny top-floor room, and it felt like being in a hot little cage. We shared a bathroom with another couple, but it wasn’t cleaned once during our stay. The shower curtain was too narrow, so after each shower the bathroom turned into a pool. Even using the toilet meant stepping into nasty water around it. The room wasn’t cleaned either, and nobody emptied our very small trash can. The only good thing was that we had a fan. It worked, but it was so loud. The Wi-Fi was impossible to describe, and I needed it for work in that tiny room. Since I couldn’t use it, I had to buy worldwide internet. The room was worth zero stars, but I couldn’t give zero, so I gave one.

We arrived late in the evening, almost at night, and could still book a room for the night without spending too much. We got some rest and were able to get back on the road. Thanks for the hospitality, greetings from the Dutch couple.

The service was excellent, and we were hosted perfectly. Really delicious food!

We arrived late after calling ahead and being told it would be fine, but the doors were shut when we got there. When I called, they said the room had been sold, even though they still charged us. We tried to sort it out through booking, but they denied everything. Liars. The worst experience, and no wonder the hotel has closed several times. I would never stay there.
