Hervè was a helpful host and gave us plenty of guidance. The accommodation was excellent, very clean, and had lots of parking. The walk into town is short and lovely, and the town itself is lovely too. Grindelwald and the Eiger mountains are an hour and a half away by car, while Zermatt and the Matterhorn views are a two-hour drive. I'd certainly try to book here again if I'm in the area.

It's a small B&B with four rooms, close to the lake and within walking distance of town. The welcome was friendly, and our room was clean and modern, with a lovely shower. It's a great base for cycling around both this lake and Neuchatel lake. Finding it can be tricky: some maps show a different road name, and it doesn't appear on Google Maps unless you switch to satellite view. Maybe that's easier now I've added the business to Google Maps.

The views are amazing, and the area is lovely for a stay. There are great paths for walking to the nearby villages, and everything was spotlessly clean.

We paid in advance through Booking for three nights, but after seeing the reviews too late, we decided not to stay. The room hadn't been cleaned, the bathroom and bathtub were dirty, and the bathroom was separated from the rest of the house by sliding doors like the bedroom's. Some furniture was broken, the toilet was in the stairwell, the pool was neglected, and weeds were growing on the terrace. When we complained, the owner told us to leave and said he had phone calls to make. He also brushed off the Booking agent. Instead, he suggested we claim on travel cancellation insurance because of an "illness," which would be insurance fraud. Do not book under any circumstances!
