Residenza Paradiso di Vacanze

The hosts were very friendly, and the view was lovely. The place has a charming 1960s to 1980s look and feel, but Room 32 was a letdown, even for the cheapest apartment. It was dirty, with worn carpet and a rock-hard spring mattress that bounced whenever I moved. The shower was across the hall, and the toilet had been added opposite the kitchen, venting into the stairwell. The refrigerator, which looked about 40 years old, fortunately broke, so we could move to a much nicer room the next day. That one was very clean, and its separate mattresses were far more comfortable. We did have to run the hot water for quite a while before it warmed up.

We were welcomed very warmly. Our top-floor studio had a wonderful view, and the balcony was a lovely place to sit and take it in. The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with a public transport stop only a few hundred meters away, so a car isn't necessary for a vacation here. The lake and a pleasant path along the shore are an easy walk away.

The garden pool is wonderful, and there's a shower and toilet right there too. The apartment was spotless and everything worked. We were made to feel almost like family, and the owners speak excellent German. The beautiful Lake Maggiore promenade is only a few steps away. A top-notch stay, I'd happily return.

The eco-friendly houses felt cozy and were laid out practically, and the hosts were welcoming and ready to help with any problem. We loved the pool and ping-pong table as well.
