We had such a lovely stay and would come back. Our Vaudaire room was especially cozy, with a fantastic corner view and balcony. It had a great bed, a good shower, and plenty of closet space, making it ideal for a couple. There’s another balcony off the kitchen, and guests can cook there and use their own fridge in the kitchen. The location worked well for us, about a 6-8 minute bus ride from the center and only a few stops from the casino, or you can walk uphill. Veronique and Yves were magnificent, accommodating, and very personable. Thank you, Veronique and Yves!

The owner lives on the floor above and was welcoming and helpful. The room had an amazing view and was close to the station and restaurants, but it was very small. The study table and a shelf holding DVDs, a woofer, and speakers made it feel even tighter. The lighting was overly complicated, needing combinations of buttons and a couple of remotes. There wasn’t a shelf in the bathroom for soap.

We had flying ants in the room twice over the weekend and had to deal with them ourselves while the owners were away. It sounds like this happens regularly, but the owners didn’t seem to care much. After we complained, they gave us only a 15% discount. They also entered the room while we were out, though I’d asked them to wait until we got back. The owners now say I told them the room was too messy to enter, which isn’t true. The way they handled the ants bothered me even more than the infestation. The place is in poor shape, with cables sticking out of walls and broken lamps. The bathroom is in the bedroom, separated only by glass, so there’s no privacy. I wouldn’t recommend it.
