At the Goldener Schlüssel, the rooms are small and the hotel feels dated, but it’s comfortable and reasonably priced. The location is fantastic, and the staff are lovely. Thanks for lending us a Swiss-Europe adaptor!

The room was small, but it had all the facilities we needed, and the location was excellent for exploring the old town. There are restaurants all around. Breakfast was very good, and we had an excellent stay.

Breakfast was very good, and although the bathroom is tiny, it works. The hotel is right in the city centre, which has its upsides and downsides: depending on where your room is, nearby bars can be noisy until late. There’s no AC, so it gets very hot in summer.

10/10
The bed was comfortable and the room, while on the small side, was manageable. The bathroom is kind of odd, as if it was added later, but it was okay. There’s no AC, so warm weather can make it hot, and a street-level room is noisy. Breakfast was decent, and the location was great.

The location is nice, but I found the room uncomfortable overall, and apartments look down into it, so there isn’t much privacy. Breakfast was average and overpriced, and the staff were curt and unwelcoming.
