The common rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and we got a really warm welcome. It’s a lovely chalet in traditional wood, complete with the occasional creaky floorboard. Upstairs there are four bedrooms for children, each with a private bathroom, and one has a double bed we wished we could split up because the kids were fighting over it 😅. The four “parents’” rooms also have private bathrooms, and their mattresses can be separated to make twin beds. For skiing, the nearby Les Géants lift serves the children’s snow garden. The chairlift 600 metres away connects to Châtel when that link is open, with an Evasion or Portes du Soleil pass. Otherwise, La Foilleuse is a bit of a walk, though a shuttle runs hourly, or every half hour in peak season.

It’s a lovely place for people who want to spend time together on a sunny hillside but still have their own bedrooms. The house has plenty of attractive rooms with bathrooms, balconies and views, plus a well equipped kitchen with a big fridge and freezer. It has pretty much everything you could want, except for sharp knives 🤣.

The view is lovely, and the rooms, lounge and dining room are all comfortable. There’s a big, well equipped kitchen, too. The owner is wonderful and gave us such a warm welcome. A really inviting place.
