Helvetia Hôtel Résidence

The family running this hotel were so friendly and accommodating. It’s a good-value place in the Portes du Soleil region, and it participates in the Multipass program. Breakfast came with fresh fruit and vegan milk. The room had clean, minimal decor and a modern bathroom, though the bed wasn’t comfortable for me. There’s no fridge or hot drinks in the room, but guests can use a shared fridge, and instant tea and coffee are available in the common area. An honesty bar is set up for evenings when reception is closed.

Reception staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast costs CHF 15 extra, with croissants, bread, cheese, eggs, meat, confiture, and a range of drinks. There’s free coffee and tea on the floor by the entrance. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms are all generously sized, and the hotel still looks new despite being 10 years old. Ski rooms are in the garage, with a separate entrance. There’s plenty of free parking around the hotel.

Jane, Matial, and their staff were so thoughtful and flexible with my family’s needs and wishes. They opened the spa early, lent me a bathing costume when I’d forgotten mine, brought drinks over during the self-service breakfast, and surprised my niece with Prosecco for her birthday. We were really touched by how well they looked after us. Thank you for everything, and hopefully we’ll see you again soon.

The facilities are state of the art and made us feel at home. We had a very good stay, and the staff were warm and friendly, including with our dog.
