I’d avoid this place. I booked Senevita through Booking.com in December 2024 for a four-night stay in July 2025 and paid in advance. After keeping the reservation for more than seven months, they cancelled it by automated email just one week before arrival. That left me only days to find somewhere else in a Swiss capital during the Euros, which was upsetting and likely much more expensive. They said they had arranged a room at their partner property, Senevita Dorfmatt, but I never received a confirmation. I emailed that property myself and got no reply. When I asked Senevita what was happening, the responses were slow, and they gave no explanation beyond saying it was a “double booking.” I don’t understand how that could happen with a booking made so far ahead, or why I was the one who lost the room. I was also told to contact Booking.com for help, which felt rude and shifted responsibility onto them, despite Senevita having claimed they’d found me an alternative. There was no apology for the disruption or extra cost. I suspect they cancelled at the last minute to charge higher prices during the Euros, though I can’t know for sure. The whole experience left me questioning the integrity and morality of those in charge. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. You could be left without a booking at short notice.
