Hotel Regina

My husband and I were very disappointed. We came for food and drinks, but waited 30 minutes to be served. We were enjoying the sunshine on the terrace, the one good thing about the visit, so we stayed, though I don’t know why we didn’t leave. I’m not sure there was any alcohol in the drink I ordered, and the food arrived cold. Our afternoon was wasted.

The food was one of the best parts of our stay, truly outstanding. Most of it is made with produce from the garden or sourced at nearby local markets, and the freshness and care came through in every bite. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, and the memory foam beds had us sleeping like babies. Bathrooms are shared, but they’re spotless and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of private shower cubicles. We never waited or felt short on privacy. Hotel Regina sits high in the mountains, almost among the clouds. The views change with the light and mist, making the place feel peaceful and dreamlike. The staff were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived, and always happy to help. It’s wonderfully quiet, with a lovely terrace for a drink and the scenery. A great base for hiking, relaxing, or enjoying the mountain air. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

The historic design gives the Hotel Regina a warm, welcoming feel, and we enjoyed every part of our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room was well cared for, very clean, and comfortable, and the shared showers were roomy and spotless. I couldn’t find anything to complain about, and we plan to return.

This historical, lovely hotel has a great mountain view, and the included breakfast buffet was delicious. The first night, creaky floors and the neighbors made it hard to sleep, but the remaining nights were fine. Ear plugs were provided in the room, so the hotel seems aware the noise can bother people. We had a pleasant three-night stay, thank you.
