Base Nyon

After standing with my luggage for half an hour, still waiting to get into the hotel in the middle of a weekday afternoon, I can say I won’t come back. The place seems to have been going downhill in several ways, probably with demand in the region so high. It was surreal.

Having a kitchen with everything I needed meant I didn’t have to eat out for every meal, and the dog-friendly policy was a big plus since Alfie was with me. The staff were attentive and accommodating, and my room was clean and so well equipped that I felt at home right away. I was there for a month at Base and worried a hotel room might get tedious, but the stay was excellent. Everyone at reception was friendly from the moment I arrived. I was actually a little sad to leave this morning. I’ll recommend Base to anyone looking for a place in Nyon. Thanks so much for making my and Alfie’s stay so enjoyable.

Friendly staff, a full kitchen, big room, and great beds. Everything was amazing, one of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time. It’s a minute from the train station. Highly recommended if you’re in Nyon.

The staff were the best part, always smiling, helpful, attentive, and nice. I stayed for three weeks while looking for an apartment around Nyon, and the place was excellent. It’s close to the station and city center. The rooms are comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and really impressive, state of the art kitchenware. The bathroom was very nice, and there’s a clear attention to detail and the environment, from avoiding single-use plastic to window sensors that stop the air conditioning when windows are open. There’s also a small but functional gym, a basement laundry, and handy bicycles to hire. There’s no regular breakfast service, but the Base Breakfast Bag lets you order breakfast à la carte, delivered in a bag outside your door in the morning. It includes products from local bakeries and producers.
