Just reviewing the restaurant. The perch fillets à la meunière, a Swiss fish classic, were genuinely very good. The Malakoffs were fine, though not the best in the region. It’s a charming, authentic place in Nyon’s medieval center, with most of the Swiss cuisine classics. Nothing fancy, but you can’t go wrong here.

The location right in the heart of Nyon is brilliant, and the restaurant downstairs serves outstanding food, with outdoor and covered seating. Staff were welcoming and friendly. My room was simple, clean, and comfortable. For Switzerland, I thought it was very good value, 9/10.

I waited two hours for an Uber Eats order for two, with no delivery and no updates. I finally had to cancel it myself, and was still charged a tip for a service I never got. Hard to believe practices like this are allowed in Switzerland.

The seasonal fall menu had some lovely dishes. I had the fall plate with spätzel, roasted brussel sprouts, pears, red cabbage, and roasted chesnuts, and it was delicious. The mushroom dish and chestnut dessert were excellent too. They also handled allergies easily, which is a real help when travelling. Great food, lovely staff, and a pleasant time at the restaurant.
