We ran into a booking problem, but the manager sorted it out right away. The staff were helpful and really pleasant, and the restaurant and pub were exceptionally good. Such a great find.

There are plenty of ways to spend time around Lake Sempach, from walks and hikes to bike rides and visits to charming villages and towns like nearby Sempach. The hotel also works well for company gatherings and seminars. It's one of Switzerland's oldest hotels and restaurants, on an old merchant and travel route, and has been completely renovated in a striking, eclectic style that makes it feel brand new and uniquely Swiss. The terrace is a wonderful spot for lunch or dinner in the peaceful surroundings. Food is excellent, prepared in the open kitchen, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The design is beautiful and tasteful, with warm touches that make you feel at home. Rooms are bright, spacious and thoughtfully equipped with quality linens, towels and amenities. The breakfast buffet is generous, varied and made up of excellent products. Parking is easy, and staff pay close attention to guests' needs. Markus, the owner, personally oversees the kitchen, often singing happily as he cooks, and checks that guests are enjoying themselves. That personal touch made the experience memorable. A lovely, peaceful setting within a short drive of Lucerne and Zurich. I'd gladly return.

Parking is easy, and the terrace is a lovely place to have lunch or dinner in the quiet surroundings. Meetings for work are easy to arrange, with attention to detail and guests' needs. This boutique design hotel is a rare find, and one I'd happily return to.

The room was wonderful and the staff were lovely, especially the people serving dinner. Ricardo even showed us how to work the coffee machine, which I really appreciated. Great staff.
