The pool is a lovely place to relax, and the hotel works well as a base for day trips into Italy since it's so close to the border. We always choose it when we're in Ponte Tresa. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and breakfast has plenty of meat, cheese, and fruit, plus boiled eggs made to order. We love staying here.

The pick-up from the train station made everything easy, and we could have drinks by the pool. Our studio Balwin room was outstanding, and breakfast is available at the hotel, where we ate by the pool. The owners work hard to make your stay a 10+, and they're lovely people. Absolutely recommend it. I'm loving this stress-free vacation and will visit many more times. A high five to the owners!

Our small group had different skill levels, and the local guides took that into account. The hotel owners are all MTB tour guides, and they know the best trails around. The MTB tour was just what I'd pictured. Really nice hotel, very good bike guides, and I'll be back.
