The hotel is right by the train and bus station, which makes the location really convenient. There’s also a lovely shaded garden where you can sit with an ice cream or something else. The atmosphere and staff were amazing, and the menus were more than delicious.

We were in a hurry to catch the bus in the morning, but still managed to get delicious pastries and coffee before leaving. Dinner at IL RISTORANTE GIARDINO was first class, both the food and the service. I had the delicious Paillard do Vitellone, paired with a red wine the server chose, then an amazing dessert. The chef, Flavio Lardi, also owns the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom and shower. The bed was comfortable too. The friendly staff spoke English well, and we were unexpectedly upgraded to a room overlooking Lake Poschiavo. Le Prese is a small village and a handy place to spend a night on our train journey from Venice to St. Moritz, before taking the Glacier Express through Switzerland. This is a charming Swiss hotel, and we highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

Nature is all around, and the Bernina Express stops right at the doorstep. This family-run hotel is very friendly and serves wonderful cuisine. It’s in peaceful Val Poschiavo, and popular with guests who come to fish in the lake behind the hotel. I love this place.

Lovely setting surrounded by nature, and wow, the restaurant is something else. The food is excellent quality, really excellent, and a pleasure to enjoy.
