The view is lovely, and we had a really good dinner with attentive service in a peaceful setting. The restaurant is right by the main road, though, so I’d only give the location three stars.

Dinner during our event stay was excellent, easily the best part. Breakfast was only just enough, with cereal, bread, and cheese. Our room was average, and the bare bulb hanging low near the bed made us uneasy. The remote didn’t work either. We were in room 10. There were complimentary tea bags outside, but when we asked for regular black tea, we were curtly told it was for sale at the restaurant downstairs. Service felt indifferent.

The woman at reception had a lot of attitude and treated us very disrespectfully. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The little details were so well considered, from the Christmas decorations to the hand soap scent, and the interior and location were lovely too. Service was warm and genuinely friendly. The local food was delicious, especially the surprise dessert. We ate it before we remembered to take a photo. Just perfect all around.

Such a great meal, I haven’t eaten this well in ages. The food and service were both fantastic, and there was a good choice as well. Prices were very affordable too. What more could you ask for?
