I arranged this B&B so family visiting us could stay near our home in Riehen. When my husband brought them over, the owner seemed confused and said he had expected a “slit eye” guest. He had clearly assumed the person I booked for would be Asian, but my in-laws are German. It was upsetting to hear such open racism. The room and location were good, but we won’t choose this place for future visitors.

It felt like a little retreat surrounded by greenery, with a lovely terrace and balcony. The room was sweet and comfortable for two, with a full-size bathroom right next to it, and everything was clean and tidy. The train station is just around the corner, with connections to Basel and elsewhere. The hosts are a warm, helpful couple who take care of what you need, sometimes before you even ask. A really relaxing place to enjoy nature. I warmly recommend visiting this B&B.
