Hotel Restaurant Burgseeli

The terraces were a great place for our group to hang out after busy days exploring, and the restaurant food was top notch. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylish. We had 8 of us staying for 5 nights at Hotel Restaurant Burgseeli. Peter was a fantastic host, friendly, funny, and wonderfully accommodating with the toddler in our group. The rest of the staff were great too, efficient and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

Service was really good, and the hotel has a beautiful wood cabin style upstairs with a restaurant downstairs. The room was a good size for a couple, though the bathroom, especially the shower, was a little small. It’s not too far from the bus stop, but be careful about bus times after 8PM.

The Veal Knuckle and Stroganoff were both delicious and nicely presented. The dining room felt elegant, with a very nice atmosphere, and the service and food were exceptional. There’s free parking on site.

The food is really nice, but the waitress was rude. I asked how large the full dessert portion was since the menu offered half and full portions. She just said, “the half is half the full is full”. When I asked how I was supposed to know what their full portion size was, I got an unfriendly smile and a shrug. It’s a shame because that really spoiled the experience. I also felt she was only treating me that way because I’m not Swiss. She was much nicer to the Swiss guests.
