Chery Bed & Breakfast

The host was so nice, and breakfast was delicious. The location was great too. 10/10.

The village is lovely, with mountains all around and the lake nearby. There are churches close by, along with a famous baptisterium. The church bells ring every hour and sometimes more often, and the plaza can be noisy because the osteria stays open until midnight. We got used to the noise, and the place has lots of sweet little details that make for nice photos. The hotel service was very nice, although they missed my first email and I had to write again to get answers. The rooms and facilities are very simple. When we first went into our room, there was a strong chlorine smell, so we opened the windows right away. It was better the next day. I couldn't sleep on my side because the beds were much too hard, even though I usually like a firm bed. The pillows were too thin as well, and just not OK. Breakfast was OK, but I had thought the pretty pies in the pictures were homemade, and they weren't. I also saw a piece of toast bread with mold. With so many people at breakfast, I hadn't expected any old food. I can't really recommend it because of the beds and pillows and the poor sleep. If those are OK for you, the rest is fine, and there are lots of wonderful details.

This newly renovated boutique B&B has a homey feel near Lugano Lake, and it's lovely if you're after a quiet, dreamy vacation. It was clean, with no problems there, and the Owner was very friendly and always ready with suggestions for things to do. Good value for money, and even better if you book directly. It's easy to find on the main road in Riva San Vitale. Fox Town, an outlet store with several brands, is only a few minutes away. Lugano and the Italy border are about 20 minutes away for a busier outing.

A little deli shop is right across the road from this B&B on Piazza Grande, and the rooms are modern and spacious. It's in the sweetest little lakeside town, with easy ways to climb mountains, visit other towns and bigger cities, see vineyards, or drive into Italy. If you've just arrived in Ticino and aren't sure where to go, this B&B will point you in the right direction. Just perfect :-D We'd gladly come again!!!
