The price is higher than at hostels in Germany or France, but I thought it was worth it. I’ve never had such a good hostel breakfast: fresh spelt bread, Swiss cheese, proper orange juice, and a coffee machine that uses beans.

For a youth hostel, this is excellent value. It was cleaner than most hotels I’ve seen, and breakfast was very good. A small fridge and kettle would have made it five stars for me.

The Lake of constance is nearby, and breakfast is generous. They even have little chocolate sticks for dessert.
