We found a room here after a friendly woman at the tourist information helped us out. With no campground nearby, our online search for accommodation hadn't worked. There was plenty of parking, and reception was polite. After walking into the city, we had a drink at the hotel restaurant. The waiter was really friendly and attentive, and the terrace has a nice view. Getting from the parking area to our room meant taking two elevators, which was a bit of a hassle with heavy bags.

The restaurant terrace was nice, and dinner there was really tasty. Breakfast didn't have much choice, though the staff made good coffee. The hotel was clean and quiet, close to the park for morning runs, and everyone on staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable, but the pillow was too soft for my taste.

The hotel is in a quiet area, but the service was usually surly, especially in the restaurant, where the standard was poor. Breakfast was very poor too, with little choice and dishes not replenished regularly. If you arrived later, there was nothing left to eat. We couldn't even freely choose where to sit because the staff made a fuss. I wouldn't recommend it.

Breakfast could use improvement, though the rooms were comfortable. The location was nice, just a short walk from Aarau's historic center.

A good place to stay, with a solid bus connection. It's a bit far from the city center.
