The owner and proprietor was lovely and hospitable, and the place felt cozy. It’s easy to reach Appenzell by car. On a rainy night we picked up local cheese, meat, bread, and wine, then put together a light dinner in the common area. We got chatting with other guests and had a wonderful time. Our stay at Neues Bild was a great experience. Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, and well-appointed.

We stopped for one night during a bike trip. The owners and staff were extremely friendly, and the room looked brand new and was very clean. There’s a beautiful garden area too. The restaurant food was amazing, the best I’ve had in Switzerland so far. I’d especially recommend the schnitzel and Thai red curry. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
