Hotel & Restaurant Monte-Moro Saas-Almagell

The half-board deal was excellent value, with a good breakfast buffet and a four-course dinner every night. The hotel is only a two-minute walk from the nearest ski station, and there's a nice Scottish pub across the road. We spent a week skiing as two adults with two kids, in two adjoining rooms. Both rooms were clean and spacious, with balconies overlooking the mountains. The staff were friendly, and the organized evening activities for children happened every day. Our kids especially enjoyed things like the pizza-making class. We'd definitely go again.

A clean, pretty, and pleasant hotel.

Dinner at the Hotel Pirmin Zurbriggen was excellent, and the breakfast buffet had a big, varied selection. We also loved the spa, which exceeded our expectations, and the massage was relaxing and professional. The hotel was spotless and well maintained, the staff were very friendly, and we felt comfortable throughout. A perfect stay from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

My Rösti “Macugnaga” with pear and Gorgonzola was delicious, and we had a fantastic time at the Röstihaus today. The kids were even humming happily in the restroom, just as the owner had sung. For dessert we tried the traditional Saas treats “Hanini” or “Bonscheggla.” They were great, and hard to find unless you make them yourself. We'd love to return. Remember to read “The Poor Landlord” on the napkin.
