Saas-Fee has plenty going on in autumn too, from hiking and walking to skiing, sledding, mini golf and other adventures. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from, and groceries are just around the corner from the Alte Post if you’d rather eat in. We spent a wonderful week in the Maisonette at the Alte Post in Saas-Fee in early October. The location is fantastic, the place was very clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. It’s clearly been thoughtfully designed, and the person managing it wants guests to have the best possible experience. Everything felt 5*, right down to the luxurious bed linen and whirlpool bath. We’d love to return. Thank you.

Booking showed that animals were allowed, but after I reserved, the owner asked for more than 100.-CHF per night for the dog. Obviously, I cancelled the booking. Bad experience.

Right in the heart of Saas-Fee, the chalet looks beautiful from the outside. Inside, though, the facilities and furnishings leave a lot to be desired, and it isn’t good value for money. The maisonette mainly has German-style electrical outlets, which wasn’t mentioned in the description. The ground-floor bathroom has a tiny shower, and the stove/cooktop is outdated.

From the apartment, it’s easy to enjoy the central location and the breathtaking natural surroundings. It’s very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for up to six people and a really good range of equipment. Communication with the owner was also pleasant and uncomplicated. A cozy, harmonious place for a relaxing holiday.

It’s a rustic, cozy place where you can settle in and feel at home, and the owner was very friendly. We were a group of three, though the apartment is perfectly suited to six. It’s exceptionally well equipped and well maintained, with the ski slopes and hiking trails nearby. I’d happily book the Alte Post again and can absolutely recommend it.
