The food was good, though the service could use a bit of improvement. The hotel has clearly had great work done on it, bringing a place full of history into a new era. Great location, and try to get a room with a lake view.

The church bells ring every hour, and there’s a nice hike down to the river. I loved the charming, rustic feel of the place. It was beautiful and so relaxing, almost like being in a fairytale. There’s even a cute diary in the room with notes from previous guests. I hope I get the chance to come back.

Ten years after our wedding, our guests still remember the place vividly. A standard hotel ballroom couldn’t have given us that. We love coming back; it’s quiet, and the food is excellent. The view of the lake and mountains from the art deco panorama room is unforgettable. This is a beautiful historic hotel, renovated in a simple, authentic style while keeping modern amenities, though there’s no TV in the room. Its distinctive architecture and setting among green fields, along with the art deco common areas, dining room, and event room, made it a perfect wedding venue.
