We only stayed one night, but found the hotel peaceful, with kind staff and a good breakfast. There’s a secure place to leave your bike, and the price was decent. Just be aware that it’s an old building, so you can hear the neighbors talking. That was the only downside.

The rooms and dining area are spotless and well looked after. The place feels like a youth hostel for adults, though. I paid for dinner, but it was very basic: melon to start and a small slice of quiche, with no vegetables or carbs. It really wasn’t good value, and there wasn’t enough food for active hikers staying here.

The rooms are good, but as a Catholic Christian, I don't see anything Franciscan about this place. It feels like a sterile business, with no sense of vocation to host people or share the beauty of the Christian good news. That gives a bad name to a great giant of Christianity.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, and very good value. It's a great place to spend a night in this cool little town. Five stars from me for the value.

The room was cramped, and we didn't get a very friendly welcome. This feels more like a slightly upmarket youth hostel, and the price is too high. When we asked about food, we were told dinner was only available if booked in advance. Go somewhere else.
