The room at the back was quiet, but tiny, cramped, and very basic. We stayed seven nights in early October 2012, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a holiday, perhaps just one or two nights. Before we booked, the receptionist, who may have been the manager, gave us wrong information on the phone about free public transport and called me cheeky when I complained. Get promises in writing. He came across as arrogant and a know-it-all, slouched in an armchair. The staff were German, but I didn't find the Swiss hospitality I expected, and they seemed unprofessional. Breakfast was disappointing too: no yogurt, the quark ran out, and the eggs were gone without being replenished. The butter and cold cuts looked frozen, and were stuck together. This was absolutely not a comfortable hotel.

For what they charged, the place was an absolute disgrace. It looked in poor shape, like a hotel from the 60s or 70s, and the staff seemed completely unmotivated. There was no parking. The breakfast buffet barely deserved the name, with stale rolls that were almost hard and a sticky honey tube, among other things.
