Hotel Restaurant Hohberg

A really nice place to eat, hang out, or have a drink. The staff were friendly, the meals were delicious, and I'd recommend the risotto. I haven't come across a similar menu elsewhere!

We spent one night at Hohberg Hotel on our recent visit, and it didn't live up to what we expected. I wish there had been more information or photos of the accommodation before we booked. The room was spacious and the bathroom large and clean. Breakfast offered a good range, including eggs, bacon, cheeses, and meats. We were driving an EV, so the Tesla chargers beside the hotel parking lot were useful. The evening and night staff were excellent and very helpful. Our room was downstairs next to the stables, which we didn't like for accommodation. Photos showing the rooms from outside on booking sites would have helped. The room also lacked practical things like a phone for reception and a tea or coffee maker, so we had to go to reception whenever we needed anything. There was no AC, and leaving the windows open wasn't an option because outsiders could get in easily. A fan was provided, but it wasn't powerful enough. The area is quiet, though parking can become a nightmare when there's an event at the BBC, as there was during our stay.

The toilet is bigger than the room. The hotel was clean, and the pillows were soft.

There’s a Tesla Supercharger just behind the hotel, which is handy if you drive an EV. I didn’t try the sports facilities, but it looked like there were several options. Good value overall, and the breakfast was a little basic but still good.
