After a Sunday hike, we stopped in for a filling dinner. It was busy, but the place felt warm and the staff were very friendly and spoke English. The rustic food hit the spot, especially the pork steak with herb butter, and the gelato was really good too. The flies got a bit annoying, with cattle in the field next door.

The service was friendly and helpful the whole time, and we’d happily go back soon. My son ordered the steak entrecote, my husband had the Pilot burger, and I went for the Fitness Teller. We finished with one of their lovely Tortes and very good coffee. We were lucky to visit Hirschen yesterday evening, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Thanks!

The food and everything else was great, but it was uncomfortably hot inside. They also weren’t willing to let fresh air in, so I had to take off a star.

After hiking the Niederurnen Panorama weg, we were glad we stopped here. The portions were generous, the food tasted good, and the prices were good too. The staff were really nice.
