Youth Hostel Scuol

Rosa at reception was very friendly and helpful, and the hostel is right by the train station, which is really convenient. You can leave your bags there all day on both arrival and departure days. Breakfast is worth trying, too: there’s a buffet with plenty of choices, including gluten-free bread and müesli. Let the hostel know in advance so they can make sure they have those. A great stay in Scuol.

One of Switzerland’s most beautiful youth hostels. It’s right beside the train station and cable car station, and only a short walk down to Scuol’s main street.

The hostel is super modern and spotless, with huge windows looking out over the valley. Staff were friendly, the mixed dorm rooms were quite a bit larger than usual, and the beds were great. There’s a microwave, too. Large bags don’t fit in the lockers, but you can store valuables in them with a 2.- deposit for the key. Don’t miss the Bogn Engiadina deal: they give you the card, so there’s no need to queue on site. The ski room locks with a key and can’t be accessed after check-out. It’s nicely located, though I suppose they had to choose between being by the station and being in town. The city is still not too far away, about a 10' walk.

We stayed as a family in a four-bunk room, and having parking made everything easier. The hostel is right by the ski lifts, with a restaurant, a great breakfast, lovely staff, and the main bus stop just a stone’s throw away. The location is brilliant, and I’d happily come again, maybe in spring when biking season starts.
