Mr Roger has decorated the restaurant, staircase landings, and outside areas himself, with plants, decorative lights, and Christmas decorations that add to the festive feel. The hotel owner and host is warm and friendly, and has turned a heritage hotel into a beautiful labour of love.

The owner welcomed us warmly and gave us a heartfelt goodbye, which made us feel at home. We stayed in a cozy family room for four adults, and it suited us just right. Such a lovely place, with a warm family atmosphere and delicious breakfast. It was a wonderful stay and definitely worth recommending!

I stayed here on August 12, 2013, and really enjoyed both the stay and the company. A very kind older man and his wife were there, and I’d be delighted to meet them again. I took a photo during my visit, and it has stayed in my mind for nearly 12 years.

The staff were thoughtful and caring, and their attitude toward guests was exceptional. When I had a small accident, one of the owners drove me to a hospital 40 minutes away. Thank you again for that kindness. I spent two nights at Hotel Tell and had a lovely stay. The rooms were very clean and had everything a traveller needs.

The hotel sits a couple of hundred meters above the lake, with really beautiful views. We stayed just one night, and our room was spacious and clean, with a mezzanine and two extra beds for kids. The stairs are quite steep, though that wasn’t a problem for children. The staff were very friendly, and communicating in English was no problem.
