Hotel Terminus - Sierre Valais

At Au Terminus, the James Bond 007 theme made my end-of-year dinner feel like an evening in a glamorous spy film. The room had a mix of elegance and intrigue that made the whole experience immersive. The service was outstanding, and all the details were handled beautifully. The food was incredible, with rich flavors and creative dishes that showed the chef’s skill and care. My little boy and I were stranded because there was no train to zermatt, and the staff were so friendly when I needed help. The bed was sooo comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. You can book here feeling secure that it’s a great place to stay.

I wouldn’t stay here again. For the high price, I expected much more, especially with the water problems and breakfast. My employer booked the hotel for a recent business trip. One odd thing to know in advance: reception shuts at 8 pm. Breakfast costs 17 CHF and felt meager for the price. The bread was doughy, supermarket grade, ready-bake stuff, with packaged spreads and cold cuts. I’ve had better breakfasts at motels costing a quarter as much. Hot water was also unreliable. The pressure could be weak, there was no hot water at all one morning, and the bathroom sink kept switching between hot and cold.

There’s no refrigerator in my room, and the air conditioning was pretty feeble. Apart from that, I had a pleasant stay in a hotel that’s well located, with fairly comfortable rooms. They also have a lockable cage for bicycles in the garage.
