The historic building has been refurbished tastefully, and the rooms are excellent. Food is locally sourced, and the staff were superb. Public transport is very close. Secure parking is nearby, and there's on-street parking for larger or higher vehicles within a few hundred metres. Highly recommended.

It felt like a homely B&B, and the staff were incredibly helpful. We rented e-bikes for a very reasonable price, which was great. The fourth floor got quite hot during the heatwave, but the fans helped. There was a nice breakfast and a pretty garden with tables and chairs. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, and I'd love to stay again.

We enjoyed the hotel's open, friendly feel at reception and breakfast, and even liked having a hotel cat. Our room seemed basic but was really nice. We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Roter Ochsen, though our room faced the main street and there was quite a bit of noise from the bar, which stayed open until morning, even with the windows shut.

Breakfast had that delicious, homey feel, and the bed was excellent. The welcome was lovely too. A very nice hotel right in downtown Solothurn, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The breakfast had a great selection, and the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. We did wish there had been shampoo in the bathroom, though.
