It stayed quiet despite being right in the middle of town, and the location was great. One afternoon someone blasted rap music, but it stopped after about 20 minutes. That was the only downside for the price. A fan would be nice in summer, too.

The breakfast was hearty and delicious, and they kindly held our bags while we went hiking after checkout. Our room on the fourth floor was immaculate, with an impeccable bathroom and nice furnishings. The elevator only goes to the third floor, though. We also appreciated the complimentary welcome beers and the extremely friendly reception.

The restaurant has the best food in Solothurn! This is a simple hotel, but it’s very comfortable and right in the centre of one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made me feel at home. I hope I can come back, and I’ll recommend it to my friends.

The restaurant’s old wood walls and detailed antique paintings make it a lovely space, and the tarte flambee was delicious. We’d booked the wrong thing and had to upgrade to a junior suite, which we ended up really enjoying: it was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had very cool bathroom facilities.

There were lots of antiques on the walls, and the place had a cosy atmosphere. The boiled potatoes I ordered were hard. The waitress brought replacements after 15 minutes, but they were hard too.
