We rented several rooms for the family and I’d stay here again without hesitation if I were in the area. The hotel bar is good fun and draws a local crowd. The restaurant was excellent, and its wine list suggests a carefully managed cellar, with a fantastic selection at fair prices. Breakfast was included and really good too. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed without being over-decorated, and the prices are reasonable. The staff were outstanding, efficient, and very friendly, both on the phone and in person. The location is right in the middle of Solothurn. If it was fit for Napoleon, it may as well be for you. I did miss having a bathrobe, though. Just mentioning that so I can complain about one tiny thing. :)

The beds had sumptuous linen and made for a great night’s sleep. In this historic hotel in central Solothurn, the rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and spotless. The restaurant and bar exceeded our expectations, with warm, friendly, yet professional staff in both.

We had a drink at the bar, then a delicious dinner outside in the square. The rooms were beautiful and air-conditioned, and all the details seemed well considered. The service was personable and excellent, and breakfast was great too. Lovely hotel, I’d love to stay again!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but the restaurant is my favourite in all of Switzerland. The food was phenomenal, the service top-notch, and the setting historic. It was raining, otherwise I’d have enjoyed a cigar and cognac. Definitely worth going out of your way for!

The room was spacious and comfortable, with complimentary minibar drinks and snacks and great cosmetics. The only thing I’d suggest improving is the hot breakfast selection. The frontline staff were pleasant throughout our stay, and the hotel is a beautiful historic building in an amazing spot in the centre of town. I spent one night here at the start of a long Euro trip and was very happy with my choice. I’d highly recommend it as the best hotel in the city!
