Clean rooms and a simple, fully automated check-in made this an easy hotel to use. It's about 30 minutes outside Zürich. Having a car is better, but it was still well worth the money.

The location is no good, and the whole experience felt like a scam. There's no reception and absolutely no communication. You can't cancel or change the booking, and they want another 189 francs in city tax, even though Booking.com said the amount we paid included all taxes. Don't go here.

The room was dirty and uncomfortably warm. Noise outside, including trucks loading and unloading and people shouting, made it hard to sleep. The area was loud and unpleasant, and there was no customer service. Communication was poor and the staff were unprofessional. Check-in and checkout were both problematic with the digital system, and nothing worked as expected. There is no physical reception. I was asked for an extra 50 CHF as a so-called “state tax,” even though I'd paid everything through Hotels.com. I contacted Hotels.com, and they confirmed the tax demand was false. When I refused, the person on the phone was disrespectful and threatening, shouting and saying the police would catch me. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Stay far away.

There was no AC, and the windows barely opened, so there was little fresh air. All we had to cope with the uncomfortable room temperature was a fan that had seen better days. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows awful, and the shower water temperature kept changing. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and construction downstairs started around 7 am. Since there's no staff on site, there was nobody to help with problems or listen to complaints, and the service can be mediocre. I'd say this hotel is for nearby workers who need one night at most. My biggest issue was the unclear payment timing. I always choose “pay at hotel” when booking, and if prepayment is required, I choose somewhere else. A week before my stay, which was from the 20th to the 22nd, I got an email on the 13th saying they'd tried and failed to charge my card. I hadn't told the card company I was traveling yet, and I had no idea they would try to bill me then. The email gave me 48 hours to pay or the reservation would be canceled. I wasn't happy about that. From the hotel's online profile, I expected something more modern and hip. I guess you get what you pay for. I've worked in hotels for years, so I hate leaving a bad review, but I wasn't a fan.
