B&B Hotel St Gallen

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and getting breakfast was easy. It’s a modern hotel in St Gallen with an elevator and USB ports in the room. You can also park in the connected garage for an extra fee.

The room was clean and spacious, and being right by the train station made getting around easy. I also enjoyed breakfast, and the reception staff were very kind.

The rooms were very clean and quiet, which was the one good part of my stay. At the front desk, Angela's service was appalling. I felt extremely unwelcome and was spoken to rudely and unprofessionally for no reason I could see. I waited in line for the customers ahead of me to check in. When I reached the desk, Angela told me to move my car immediately to another empty lot, even though the spot I was using was already unreserved. She wouldn’t check me in after I explained that. Instead, she said, “I am not asking you what spot you are in, I am assigning you one now, we have house rules, now GO GO GO!” I had to leave the queue and move the car four meters into the adjacent spot, even though almost all the parking lots were unreserved. After joining the line again, I asked why she’d rushed me off when she could have checked me in first. She replied, “did you not read the sign, read the signs people!” She also overcharged me for city tax. When I brought up how rude she’d been, she said, “Nobody is forcing you to stay here”. I’ve never had such ridiculous, unprovoked treatment at any hotel I’ve visited. Management should find decent people to represent them at the front desk.
