A clean, safe hotel with good amenities, though it isn't luxurious. It's great value for money and an easy walk to the attractions and main train station. Not really a place for young kids.

Breakfast was included and well worth having, even though the Birchermeusli was a bit too sweet for my taste. During my one-night stay I also got free parking, a city guide, and a public transport pass for the whole visit. The customer service was exemplary. The one thing that takes a star off for me is that the hotel is attached to an old folks residential home.

We needed a double room with one double bed for our business trip, but the hotel doesn't have that room type at all, and nobody told us. We were busy with work and hadn't checked the confirmation email. At check-in I was told we'd have to find somewhere else, so I did. When I came back to get my car, they charged us 158 chf for the room because we'd already taken the key. The receptionist did it with a fake smile. A very unpleasant experience, and I'm never going back.

The room was small but manageable and good value for money. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly, and parking was complimentary. The location is very central, with an easy walk to the abbey library and other places.

The location by the old town was wonderful, and the room was just right for two. Service was excellent too. I really liked how the hotel is combined with the senior facility. Thanks for the hospitality!
