I’ve lived in Switzerland for nearly eight years and stayed in many places around the country. Vision Apartments in St. Gallen was by far the worst experience I’ve had. What happened on August 20, 2025 left me stressed and humiliated, and I’m still trying to recover from the chaos. I wish I could give it -5 stars. I had paid for my stay the day before by bank transfer, using the details they emailed me because their payment link didn’t work. I bank with Raiffeisen and called to check; they told me the transfer had gone through. But at 10:00 AM, maids arrived at my door to clean, apparently thinking I’d already left. I called customer service straight away. The representative accused me of lying and said transfers could take “up to seven business days.” They wouldn’t check the system or verify the payment, and told me to pack my four pieces of luggage and leave within five minutes. They blamed me for not using the broken link, even though I’d followed their instructions and used the bank details they provided. There was no confirmation email and no effort to investigate, just hostile demands that I leave immediately. It was pouring rain, and under pressure I frantically packed all four bags and was put out with nowhere to go. Their treatment and the stress triggered a full-blown mental breakdown. I spent two to three hours outside, lost and unsure what to do, without anyone from Vision Apartments showing any humanity. Only after I’d been evicted and left stranded with my belongings did an email arrive confirming they had received my payment. I was furious and despairing. I could have stayed, but had been thrown out because of their incompetence. They confirmed the money only after I was already out, with no apology or attempt to make things right. This was more than a mix-up to me. Their payment system failed, they refused to check my transfer, and they made me leave in a way I found cruel. I was a paying customer who followed their instructions, yet I felt treated abusively and unacceptably. I was left on the street, struggling to get over what happened, and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I found Vision Apartments St. Gallen unprofessional, dishonest, and unable to treat guests with respect. This was a nightmare, not a stay. I’d tell people to avoid it and stay somewhere else.

Money went missing from a colleague's room while she was away during our stay here with work colleagues. There were no signs of forced entry on the door, which left us seriously worried about the property's security. The incident badly affected how safe we felt as guests, and management didn't respond appropriately when we reported it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about security and professional treatment.

Someone got into our room while we were out and stole money. Management said there had been several failed attempts to enter during that time, but wouldn't show the hallway camera footage that could have confirmed those attempts, even though the cameras are plainly visible. We also often saw unknown people outside our door, and access to the rooms isn't well secured. There was no real security, staff avoided responsibility, and nobody was held accountable. I consider this a serious risk and would tell anyone concerned about their safety to avoid staying here.

Getting to the apartments from the main train station was pretty straightforward, and I’ve stayed at Vision Apartments in St Gallen twice. Booking itself was easy, though sorting out the paperwork and payment took some time. Read the confirmation emails carefully, since they contain the necessary information and could prevent confusion like some reviewers on Google had. The apartments are generally well designed and high quality, but the kitchens could use basics like salt, pepper, coffee, and tea bags. More wardrobe space would help too. There weren't instructions for the coffee maker, so I didn't try using it. On my first visit, someone upstairs moved furniture until 01.30 a.m. On my second, my apartment smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but Nida managed to find another one for me. It did seem that previous occupants hadn't always looked after the apartments well. People from Switzerland will know that we tend to take good care of places we rent. Still, I loved staying there and look forward to another visit.
