The room was spacious, and the crew were friendly. I loved the vintage elevator! It’s just ten mins on foot to the shopping and restaurant area, and the hotel offers a complimentary transfer to the train station.

We came hoping to have lunch at the hotel restaurant, but stood in the doorway for a few minutes without a waiter offering us a table. When we politely asked for service, the waiter said there may or may not be a table for four, even though it clearly wasn’t busy and there were plenty of free tables that weren’t reserved. We then asked to be seated and were told to “wait for the table to be prepared.” In reality, that never happened. It felt like their way of telling us to go somewhere else. Basically, it seemed they had no interest in serving people who aren’t multi-millionaires. Wouldn’t recommend going there.

Maria at reception really took the time to make our stay in St Moritz amazing. She’s passionate about her job and the area, and gave us so much useful information about getting around and free activities nearby. A special mention and a big thank you to Maria!

The location is convenient, though it’s a short ride from the train station, not a walk. We had travel issues, and the staff weren’t accommodating. The property is historic but not very comfortable, including the bed and bathroom. The food also wasn’t very good compared with the multiple hotels we stayed at across Switzerland. At the prices they charge, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Our room is basic but clean, and it has a cute balcony. The lady at the desk was funny and helpful, and check-in was easy. If you want somewhere quiet, this may not be for you, since it’s right in front of the train station in the middle of town.
