The breakfast buffet was a highlight, with great variety and a particularly good egg station. Our room was comfortable, with updated furnishings and a modern bathroom, and the central location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. I stayed at Hotel Schweizerhof in St. Moritz with my parents, and overall we had a pleasant stay, though some things could be better. Service felt a little hands-off despite the staff being polite. My mother has limited mobility and finds uphill walking difficult. The hotel has a car for train station transfers, but we were told to call a taxi to the base of the funicular, a three-minute drive up a steep incline. A short ride from the hotel would have made a big difference to her comfort. The spa needs attention too. The showers had a noticeable urine or sour smell, and the relaxation room smelled strongly of cooking, likely from a nearby kitchen vent. It was hard to relax without our robes and towels picking up the smell of frying oil or meat. The steam room wasn’t working properly. We told the staff, but it still wasn’t working when we checked again the next day. The location and rooms are good, but better attention to service details and spa maintenance would make the stay much better.

We happened upon this Hotel bar while in St. Moritz, and it became one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Sam the bartender was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. His million-dollar smile made us feel welcome right away. The drinks were excellent and the service outstanding. It was a lovely way to end our time in St. Moritz, and we can’t wait to come back.

The location is great, close to the town centre, and the lake is easy to reach for photos using the escalator, which matters if you want to avoid all those steps. Breakfast has lots of choice, a fab view from the dining room, and amazing service. The beds are great. Rooms are fully functional but could use a little freshening up, so it only just missed a five.

Dario made our meal. His clear, detailed menu explanations and thoughtful recommendations showed real expertise. He first took the time to understand what we liked, and nothing felt rushed. His manner, attention to detail, tone, and body language made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued. The hotel experience was excellent overall, but Dario’s knowledge, confidence, and natural elegance elevated the dining experience. He takes obvious pride in his work and creates more than routine service. I hope management recognizes how valuable he is. People like Dario represent and elevate the brand. Highly recommended.

The rooms are wonderful, breakfast service is amazing, and cleanliness is impeccable. It’s the best affordable place to stay in St. Moritz, right in the city center among luxury shops like Dior, Choppard, Valentino, and many others. Highly recommend.
