Hotel San Gian

We’ve been skiing in St. Moritz for about 15 years and have stayed at Hotel San Gian for more than a decade. This time, the team made us feel especially welcome. They took care of minor issues promptly, offered us one of the best rooms, and checked in regularly while we relaxed in the lobby with a glass of wine. Thanks to everyone, from reception to the waiters, for such warm, attentive, professional service. We’re already looking forward to coming back. The kitchen and service have improved a lot. We tried a wide range of dishes, from starters and mains to desserts, and nothing disappointed. The food tasted excellent and was presented beautifully. Breakfast has had much the same generous selection over the years, with omelets and different toppings, boiled and fried eggs, pancakes, and hot porridge for kids. This year the omelets were especially good, among the tastiest we’ve had at a hotel breakfast 😊.

The hotel has a very good full breakfast and provides complimentary spa visits to the Nordics Sports Center across the way. It’s a very good modern hotel, but the restaurant wasn’t operating between seasons. The signage is currently so poor that it’s difficult to tell this is the hotel.

Tiziano at the front desk made a real difference to our stay. He was efficient, kind, professional, and genuinely caring, always handling things with a warm smile. It’s rare to meet someone who represents a hotel with such grace and confidence. The whole experience was outstanding. The design is refined, the atmosphere warm but sophisticated, and the attention to detail shows real hospitality. Our room was immaculate and beautifully furnished, with just the right mix of comfort and luxury. Service throughout was smooth and professional, and we felt valued from the start. It felt like an experience in itself, and I hope to return soon.

Paul at reception made every interaction pleasant and easy, and the housekeeping team, Manuela and Sandra, went above and beyond to meet my requests and make everything perfect. The staff were highly professional and the service was outstanding. I really enjoyed my stay. My room was immaculate and very comfortable. I’d recommend the hotel for its friendly staff, great service, and attention to detail.
