Lo Scudo di Stabio

I found everyday errands easy here, with grocery stores, a pharmacy, post office, gas station, bakery, patisserie, and bank all within walking distance. The check-in and check-out were smooth too. Stabio is a calm, friendly, safe little town, surrounded by green areas that are great for walking, running, or cycling. It also makes a good base for trips into the Swiss mountains or across the Italian border. I spent almost a year at Lo Scudo di Stabio, and it felt like home right from the start. Marc and Giovanni, who manage the building, were exceptionally kind, helpful, and always available. They made my stay pleasant and trouble-free. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, and well designed, and the modern property is beautifully maintained and has all the amenities you need. Every apartment has a nice terrace. The ones facing the vineyard are especially peaceful and quiet, with a great view of Monte Generoso. Regular cleaning is a big plus for a longer stay, and there’s a large, pleasant common area downstairs that works well for remote work, meetings, and more. The location is excellent, close to the Italian border and with very good train links to Swiss cities, Italy, and Malpensa Airport. There’s a direct train from MXP to Stabio. I’d definitely come back to Lo Scudo di Stabio and highly recommend it.
