The station, harbor, restaurants and a nearby bus stop are all within walking distance. It’s a simple, slightly dated place, but the rooms are clean and the view across Lake Zurich is lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a bar, a kitchen and a shuttle to wherever you need to go.

The lift is useful, and there’s a nearby bus connection as well as a taxi service for guests. The rooms are clean but small, around 10 sqm, with their own entrance and bathroom. Most bathroom basics are supplied for a short stay, so you don’t need to pack extra, though there are no bathrobes or slippers. WiFi works. Breakfast was quite limited.

The patio looks out over Lake Zurich in Switzerland, and the view is absolutely stunning. It’s a small hotel with a big heart, and the service is the best I’ve had in a long time.
